Thanksgiving 2010

I am so grateful and thankful that the people that I care and love are now safe and sound.  Also, being blessed and loved by the most higher.  Though I notice most of the stores are open for business on Thanksgiving day and some of them even open until 6pm.  (I can imagine the those stores will be open on Thanksgiving for year to come)

Since we are consider small family thus no reason to get the whole turkey.  As we don’t eat much leftover.  Thus we stop by Whole Food to pickup the prep crab cakes and love made meat balls (lamb and pork). We also picked up peking duck and XLB.  I know it a weird Thanksgiving feast as it doesn’t look like Thanksgiving meal as it without turkey nor pumpkin pie.  But it consider west meet east meal made a new twist.  Who care as long as we both like it and have quality time together that’s matter.

May Lord help the needy and shows the light to those who are still in the dark.

Weather temperature hit 30 degree

Oh my it’s chilling weather again.  We are definitely experiencing the fall season.  It has been 2nd night in the roll that the weather temperature hit 30 degree at night.

Hope the wild animal and homeless folks are manage to survive the cold weather.  As for me I am blessed to be in door.

44th CMA Awards

The 44th annual CMA’s were handed out just now.  Once again hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.  It was a big win for both Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum

Though there are good and bad moment that I notice:-

  • King George – performed ‘The Breath You Take’ – As always it is great
  • Miranda Lambert – Gees, awkward and bad dancing for sure
  • Taylor Swift – performed ‘Back to December’ – her performance was good but not sure why she got the mad face expression when the music ended.
  • Jason Alden duet Kelly Clarkson – But not sure why Carrie only introduced Jason Alden rather!
  • Reba McEntire performed Beyonce music ‘If I were a boy’! – No good though

Here’s are the winner list:-

  • New Artist of the Year: Zac Brown Band
  • Vocal Group of the Year: Lady Antebellum
  • Vocal Duo of the Year: Sugarland

All Souls day AKA Day of the dead

Once again, the fellow Catholic folk holding The Annual event of the All Souls day AKA Day of The Day.  It is one of must do thing in the Roman Catholic world on 2nd of November.

All Souls’ day commemorates the faithful departed.  The Roman Catholic celebration is associated with the souls of the doctrine that the souls of the faithful who at death have not been cleansed from the temporal punishment due to venial sins and from attachment to mortal sins cannot immediately attain the beatific vision in heaven, and that they may be helped to do so by prayer and by the sacrifice of the Mass.  In other words, when they died, they had not yet attained full sanctification and moral perfection, a requirement for entrance into Heaven.  This sanctification is carried out posthumously in Purgatory.

We normally hire the commentary keeper to clean up the spot then on the day then we will get the beautiful flowers and candles to the commentary follow by prayer.  Though Buddhism does have the similar event in some time April and that’s call ‘Qingming’.

We can’t make it there this time. Thus asked sister Evelyn to get some candles and light for us. RIP Pa!
